Shape evolution due to abrasion is investigated on different size-
scales. Measurements are carried out to analyze the shape of sand particles in different stages of abrasion and compare their properties to pebbles. Furthermore, we mechanically abrade particles in our laboratory and compare them to naturally abraded samples.
